Theatre 29’s wildly successful Summer Youth Theatre program announces their 2026 program and dates. The program will run from June 22nd though July 26th, 2026, culminating in eight performances (4 for each age group) of the Broadway Musical, “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr.”, on July 23, 24, 25, and 26, 2026.
Program Director Lisa Hodgson said The Youth Theatre Program and the performances will all be held at the Theater 29 complex at 73637 Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms. This year’s program is split into two age groups, 7 to 10 year-old “Juniors” and the 11 to 17 year-old “Seniors”, who will learn a wide variety of theatrical skills from auditioning to performance and everything in between for five weeks, Monday through Friday. The program will be capped at 30 students from each age group. Juniors will meet from 9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and Seniors from 1:00 p.m.–3:30 p.m.
The cost for the Program is $75.00 per student. Scholarships are also available thanks to the Twentynine Palms City Council, the Rotary Club of 29 Palms, the Kiwanis Club of 29 Palms, and donations from Kip Otis-Diehl, the Estelle Harris family trust, Pat Welch, and other private donors.
Registration will open March 23rd, 2026, applications will be available for digital download at theatre29.org.
*Applications ($75.00) must be received by May 22nd, 2026. Digital Payment or request to pay by check or cash must be received within ten days of acceptance into the program or the spot will go to the next name on a waitlist.
For the first time, applications and payment are being accepted digitally! Please fill out the application and email to lisa@theatre29.org. If you wish to print it out and fill it out, please scan it back and send it to the email above. Once the first 30 applications for each age group are received, a wait list will be created. Parents and Guardians will receive an acceptance email with a QR code for payment. For those who are more comfortable providing a cash or check payment, they will still be accepted on request.
Theatre 29 is an all-volunteer, non-profit (501(C) (3)) Community Theatre program. Donations are actively sought and will be gratefully accepted.
