COVID-19 POLICIES

COVID-19 POLICY FOR PATRONS

Theatre 29 recognizes that in operating their business, there are risks of exposure to COVID-19 for volunteers and patrons, as it is highly contagious and has a mortality rate greater than the flu. In addition:

• COVID-19 can spread easily and exponentially

• While persons of all ages are at risk for catching COVID-19, individuals with compromised immune systems and the elderly may be at particular risk.

In operating, Theatre 29 acknowledges the risks of COVID-19 exposure to its volunteers and patrons and is committed to providing a safe and healthy business environment.

Our Policy follows guidance from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and San Bernardino County Department of Public Health (SBCDPH) guidelines, as well as the federal OSHA standards related to COVID-19.  As the pandemic shifts, we will alter our policies appropriately to follow new guidance.

ALL PATRONS, REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS, MUST REMAIN MASKED AT ALL TIMES

Masks should consist of two layers of tightly woven cotton with a suggested third layer of non-woven fabric. The third layer could be a mask filter insert, or a synthetic fabric such as polypropylene. Nose wires to reduce gaps from the nose and adjustable ear loops or straps that go around the head to reduce gaps from the face which help to improve mask efficacy. A supply of single use cotton surgical masks is available at the Box Office for public use.  The only exceptions to this rule: children under 2 years of age, those with a verifiable medical condition, mental health condition or disability that would prevent wearing a mask, or persons who are hearing impaired, or communication with a person who is hearing impaired which require the ability to see the mouth for communication.

ALL PATRONS WILL SUBMIT FOR A BRIEF HEALTH CHECK

All patrons will go through a brief health screen prior to each public performance.  The health screening consists of a touchless temperature check and box office staff inquiry on current health including:

• Have you had a fever or any flu-like symptoms in the last 24 hours?

• Have you or anyone in your household been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the past two weeks?

Theatre 29 reserves the right to refuse entry and refund any purchased tickets to anyone who refuses to wear face masks or submit to the brief health screening.
