Director Liyan McNeltier says, “This isn’t your usual Valentine’s Day themed Cabaret. Sure, you’ll hear songs about love… but it’s not going to be the stuff that dreams are made of. No, this cabaret is dedicated to the rest of us, the ones unlucky in love. Because some of us can’t even get a happy beginning, let alone a happy ending.”
This romantic comedy cabaret show at Theatre 29 will showcase the anti-hero lovers of Broadway musicals as performed by the talented cast of Haley Kooyman, Jericho McNeltier, Jasmine Shaffer, Scott Clinkscales, Liyan McNeltier, Graham Cooley, Audra Puccio Nagby, John Pollnow, Lisa Goldberg, and Ian Ferris.
“Almost Love” is conceived, artistically and musically directed by McNeltier with choreography by Scott Clinkscales and Lisa Goldberg. “Almost Love” plays one weekend only Feb 18 and 19 at 7:00 p.m. with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Feb 20. This production is rated M for mature audiences.
The opening night is a fund-raiser for the Theatre 29 organization with food and fun prior to the 7:00 pm show on Friday, February 18, with tickets at $25.00. After opening night tickets for the Saturday, January 19 7:00 pm show and Sunday, February 20 2:30 pm performances are $15.00 General Admission and 12.50 for Seniors and Military. The show is not recommended for children under 13. A service charge will be added to all ticket purchases.
